Audencia Business School opens a school in China

21 October 2016
Audencia Business School, France, and Shenzhen University, China, have announced the creation of a new school, Shenzhen Audencia Business School (SABS).

Launched as a joint-venture, SABS will open its doors at the end of September 2016.

A balanced school: 1+1= 1

SABS will be housed on the Shenzhen University campus in southern China’s Guangdong province. The school will benefit from Shenzhen University’s infrastructure and financing, and from Audencia’s academic know-how and leadership.

The school’s board will comprise of an equal number of representatives from both partners. A dean will be named shortly.

Ambitious academic goals

SABS aims to launch three programmes in 2017: an MBA, a DBA and a Master.

The school will then widen its range of programmes with the goal of welcoming 500 students in three years’ time, most of them international.

Greater internationalisation

The creation of SABS fits neatly with Audencia’s international growth as set out in the Audencia 2020 strategic plan. It follows the school’s announcement in June of an accord the Ivory Coast’s Institut National Polytechnique Houphouët-Boigny (INP-HB) to open a Cooperative Center for Studies on INP-HB’s campus.

The main higher education provider in a city of ten million which is both ranked as the world’s 19th financial centre and reputed for its expertise in electronics and finance, Shenzhen University consists of 17 schools. SABS should help raise the university’s global profile and aid development of dual-competencies programmes: a field in which Audencia has a wealth of experience.
